Kearney Chamber Will Give Away $1,500 for the Holidays

The Kearney Chamber of Commerce is promoting its 2nd annual Shop Local Holiday Giveaway. The Giveaway is a community wide campaign to encourage Kearney residents to Shop Local and also support Kearney businesses during the holidays.

One winner of this shop local campaign will receive $1,500 cash, and the Chamber will also be giving away over $1,000 in gift cards to participating businesses via the Facebook page @ShopLocalKearney.

Contestants who spend $100 total with participating merchants between November 20 and December 20, 2020 qualify for the drawing. Receipts can be a combination of purchases at different participating businesses as long as they total $100.

In order to enter the contest, people can submit their receipts to the Kearney Chamber of Commerce office at 455 Sam Barr Drive, Suite 103, no later than midnight on December 20, 2020. Receipts will be accepted by mail, chamber drop box, or scanned and emailed to execdirector@kearneychamber.org.

Every $100 in total receipts equals an entry into the drawing.

In order to enter in the weekly gift card giveaway, people can visit Facebook and like the @ShopLocalKearney page. Watch for daily posts and comment as prompted from November 23 thru December 18. The Chamber will give away over $1,000 in gift cards to local Kearney businesses. Winners from the previous week’s posts will be determined and notified each Monday.

The participating Kearney businesses for gathering receipts are: Stitch of the Time, Kearney Kwik Lube & Car Wash, Hidden Valley Funeral Homes, Jefferson Street Flooring, 9Round, Stables, Platte-Clay Fuels, Paisley Candle and Home, Hunan Garden, Bulldog Rental & Sales, Paisley Perk, Fatboyz, Pizza Shoppe, D’Creamery, Bea’s Flowers & Gifts, Betty’s Place, Summers Pharmacy, State Farm (Stella Spiking & Tracy Tucker), and American Pride Tunnel Wash & Express Oil Change.

The Grand Prize drawing will take place the morning of Tuesday, December 22 via Facebook Live. Contestants need not be present to win.
