Cabana Tannery Announces Closure
/The Covid Pandemic has been a nightmare for small business owners, but Kearney small businesses have been able to escape closure, until now.
In a recent Facebook Post, Cabana Tannery, located at 909 W 92 Hwy, announced they would be closing their doors on July 25th, as a direct result of the Covid shutdown.
Cabana Tannery owner Stacie Sipes stated, “Covid-19 has been a nightmare for so many small businesses. In the tanning industry, it couldn’t have hit at a worse time. With the loss of Spring Break and Prom, Cabana took a major hit. I was hopeful that once we were able to re-open, we would get back to “normal”. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. With the heaviest of hearts, we regret to announce that Cabana Tannery will be closing permanently on July 25, 2020. Thank you to all of our amazing staff and customers for the last 10 years and for all of the great memories.”
Following the announcement, there was an immediate outpouring of support from area residents saddened by the announcement. The Cabana Tannery Facebook page was flooded with support and well wishers who wished the ownership and staff the best for the future.
Cabana Tannery offered a variety of tanning services including both UV and spray tanning. They also offered a wide range of tanning lotions, tan extenders, skin care products and eye protection. The store also carried swimwear, beach attire, sundresses, sunglasses, flip flops, handbags and jewelry.
