3rd Annual Aim For Abilities Trap Shoot
/The Northland Therapeutic Riding Center is preparing for the 3rd Annual Aim For Abilities Trap Shoot. The event will be held at the Kansas City Trappers Association in Smithville, Missouri on June 27th, 2020 starting at 9am.
Participants can sign up as a team of 5, or as individuals who will be teamed up with others. Adult registration is $80, which includes range fees for 2 rounds of 25 shots, a t-shirt, lunch and prizes if you qualify.
Youth registrants receive the same swag, but they are $35 each and have to be 18 and under. The Center currently has a sponsor for 5 youth registrations and folks can sign up for those by calling Shaney Othic at 816-876-6221.
Participants can register on the organization website at www.northlandtrc.org and look under Events. They are also still seeking sponsors for Stations (where the shooters shoot from - $250), Claybuster sponsor for $200 (this sponsors the range fees), and a Youth Sponsor for $175 (pays for a youth team of 5).
The goal of this fundraiser is to help raise money for the Northland Therapeutic Riding Center to purchase a side by side for everyday operations. This allows them to easily check fencing, horses, haul items, and also to transport riders and parents who have physical disabilities. The goal is $5000 this year as there are concerns that participation and sponsorships will be low due to COVID-19. In years past, the group has raised anywhere from $7,000-$10,000..
The group also plans to hold a silent auction/raffle but they are unsure if it will be at the event or held on Facebook due to the virus.
