A Lawson man was involved in a single vehicle wreck on Sunday, August 16th. The incident occurred at about 5:42 am on Route PP, four miles east of Holt.

Robert W. Becker, 18, was airlifted by Life Flight to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. He suffered serious injuries after being ejected from his car, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred as Becker, who was travelling eastbound on Route PP in a 2001 Saturn sedan, crossed the center line, traveled across the westbound lane and off the north side of the road. Becker’s vehicle re-entered the roadway and overturned causing him to be ejected. The vehicle continued to travel off the south side of the roadway and came to rest in a field.

Becker was arrested for misdemeanor DWI and not wearing a seat belt.
