The Bulldogs opened the game with a 50-yard kickoff return by Luke Noland, but the offense was unable to capitalize and went 3 and out. The Eagles took over and faced little resistance as they marched 82 yards down the field, capped off by a 19-yard run by quarterback Cole Keller.

The Bulldogs were able to move the ball on the next possession, but were stopped short when Meinert was chased from the pocket on a 3rd and long, and intercepted at midfield by the Eagles Cameron Mickelson. The Eagles would capitalize once again, finishing the 53-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run by Jaxon Wyatt.

The Eagles were in full control with a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. They started the second quarter with a strong defense and dominating offense. With 9:08 left to go in the second quarter, Keller connected with Parker Bosserman on a 30-yard touchdown pass. The Eagles would score again on a 5-yard Wyatt rush for a touchdown. With 3:00 left in the first half, the Eagles held a commanding 28-0 lead.

Grain Valley received the kickoff to start the second half. The Bulldog defense came out strong, forcing the Eagles to punt from their own end zone. Kearney got on the score board as they put together a nice 39-yard drive, capped off with a 6-yard touchdown run by Jake Lowrey.

On the ensuing possession, the Eagles offense put together an 80-yard drive culminating in a 7-yard touchdown run by Eagles quarterback, Cole Keller.

Following an exchange of interceptions, the Eagles were stopped short of the end zone by the Bulldog defense. The Eagles settled for a 27-yard field goal by Austin Schmitt, increasing their lead to 38-7.

With time running out, Kearney Sophomore Landon Goepferich took over at quarterback, leading the Bulldogs offense on a nice series which ended with a 4-yard quarterback keeper to the end zone. Final score: 38-14 as Grain Valley moves to 5-0 on the season.
