Kearney’s Magical Night annual Christmas event returns in less than two weeks, and once again the Kearney Old Firehouse Community Center at the center of the occasion.

The big event begins at 6 pm on Saturday, December 11 with the lighted parade through downtown. This year the floats will be moving in the parade as viewers will watch from the sidewalks.

The parade route will be the same as the homecoming route on Washington and Jefferson Streets, and 102.7FM has been asked to Emcee and announce the parade floats as they travel past City Hall.

After the parade, Santa will arrive and family activities will begin at the Old Firehouse Community Center. Santa will available to talk to kids and take pictures at the community center.

Also happening after the parade, downtown businesses will be open for kids’ activities and crafts. Each business will have a unique activity for visitors from 7 – 9 pm.

The evening will conclude with a holiday fireworks display.
