Suburban Conference Releases New Alignments

The Suburban Conference released new alignments for the 2022-2024 seasons and there are major changes coming to all sports.

Every two years, the league realigns the four divisions based on student enrollment. The four conferences are used for all sports and are broken down by color.  The Gold division is the largest conference, followed by Red, White and Blue in descending order. The Suburban Conference has been split into four divisions for about two decades, but this coming two-year cycle will see a much bigger adjustment.

Beginning next year, Excelsior Springs will be rejoining the Suburban Blue Conference after spending the last 15 years in the Missouri River Valley Conference. This will result in a total of 28 schools in five divisions. The Suburban Gold, Silver (new), Red White and Blue. This is the first time the conference has added divisions since adding a fourth division in 2008.
