Saturday is May 1st and with that brings May baskets, May flowers and opening day for the highly anticipated Kearney Farmer’s and Artisan’s Market.

The Farmer’s Market will be held this Saturday in the parking lot of Kearney School District Administration Building. The market map shows over 20 new and returning vendors and local farmers.

There are also open spaces for more vendors and food trucks. Items sold by past vendors have included locally grown produce and foods, locally made clothing and accessories, home goods and other unique finds.

Opening day is also family day and the Farmer’s Market will have bounce houses for kids, live music, t-shirts for sale, and giveaways.

The Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from May to October from 7am – noon and is free for people to walk through and browse.
