Kearney Chamber Seats New Board Members
/At the May 25 Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors meeting, two new board members were installed as two long-standing members retired.
Executive Director Stacie Bratcher welcomed Michelle Turner and Carrie McCarthy to the Chamber Board, and expressed her excitement for the ladies joining the team. Bratcher also thanked long-standing Directors Jason Hoyt and Siouxsan Eisen for their hard work and dedication to the Chamber Board and Membership.
Turner is the owner of Pizza Shoppe in Kearney, and has volunteered to serve on the Chamber’s Harvest Gala committee. McCarthy is a Business Banking Officer at Academy Bank, and has volunteered to serve on the Ambassadors, Finance & Budget, and Scholarship committees. Both will serve a term of three years.
According to Chamber by-laws, all newly elected and appointed board members are seated at May board meetings and will be participating members thereafter. Retiring directors continue to serve until the end of the regular June board meeting, and can remain on committees as regular Chamber members.
