The county needs people who are devoted to making our County the best place to live, work and raise a family in the KC Metro area - Chris Lonsdale
“Clay County is one of the fastest growing counties in Missouri,” stated Lonsdale on his social media page. “The county needs people who are devoted to making our County the best place to live, work and raise a family in the KC Metro area.”
Lonsdale has three main ideas he would like Clay County government to promote to keep moving in a positive direction. He believes the county needs to embrace economic growth to help out local businesses, have a sustainable infrastructure for our current and future county residents, and maintain responsible government spending.
Lonsdale ran for public office in Clay County in the past. He ran for the Assessor seat in 2020, but lost to Tracy Baldwin in the August primary. He is a 2014 Liberty High School graduate and Eagle Scout from Boy Scout Troop 374. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2018 in mathematics with emphasis in actuarial science and mathematical finance from the University of Missouri.
After graduating from college he worked in Overland Park and Chicago, but moved back to the Northland so he could give back to the community where he was raised.
