KHS Choir Sends Two to State

Kearney High School sent 30 students to participate in the All-District Choir event on Saturday, Oct. 29. During the event, two KHS performers successfully auditioned for a spot in the All-State Choir.

To be a member of the All-State Choir, students need to have a top-four score in their voice part. To be an alternate, the student has to place in the top five or six spots in their voice part. Honorable mentions go to students who finish with scores in the remaining top 10 spots.

“To be top 10 in the All-District Choir is an incredible accomplishment,” KHS Choir Director Justin McKinney said. “Our students worked hard this year and these results speak for themselves.”
