Kearney Trash Service Update

Despite the possibility of snow and subzero temperatures, the City of Kearney says residents should plan on trash pick-up as normal this week.

The City of Kearney posted on social media that Republic Services trash pick-up will still happen this week.

“Please put your trash & recycling carts out on your REGULAR service day and if they aren’t serviced, leave it out through the next day, with Friday stops being left curbside through Saturday.”

Yard waste will not be picked up on Thursday or Friday however. Residents should wait until next Thursday and Friday to put out any yard waste. Extra yard waste bags or overages will be collected next week due to the missed pickups this week.

The city also reminds residents that since Christmas falls on a weekend day, there will be no delay on trash service days next week. Republic trash service will run its normal routes Monday through Friday.
