Valentine’s Trolley Tours This Saturday

If you still don’t know what to do for Valentine’s Day, the Kearney Enrichment Council has a unique event for you. On Saturday, February 12, you can hop on a trolley for a wine and chocolate tour throughout Kearney.

The Kearney Enrichment Council has partnered with Kearney businesses to present a Downtown Kearney Wine & Chocolate Trolley Tour. The tour will bring participants to different stops around Kearney where they can sample eleven small-production, boutique wines from around the world, and chocolates to match. Participants will also have the opportunity to buy favorite bottles of wines at the trolley stops. Partakers aren’t required to ride the trolley to be involved in the event. A self-driven tour is also available.

The event begins at the Old Firehouse Community Center, where participants pick up their tickets, wine glasses and punch cards. Trolleys will run on a loop during the event and will go from business to business picking you up and dropping people off at local favorite stops.

The event not only involves wine and chocolate, but also a chance to win fun prizes including some bottles of wine from the event. Participants can get their cards punched at each the local businesses. The more stops they complete, the more raffle tickets they earn for the raffle.

Tickets can be purchased on the Kearney Firehouse Community Center Facebook page, or at Firehouse Community Center, 106 S. Jefferson Street until Thursday, Feb. 10. Doors open at 3 pm to check-in, and the event runs from 4 – 7 pm.
