Kearney Legends Festival Celebrates Bicentennial

The Kearney Enrichment Council is holding a spring festival to celebrate the history of Kearney and Clay County. The Kearney Legends Festival: Rails and Tails Festival celebrates history through the ages as we look back in time to relive our growth over the past 200 years in Clay County.

The first-ever Legends Festival will take place on April 2, from 10 am to 10 pm. The Enrichment Council invites Clay County residents to enjoy a whole day of festivities in Downtown Kearney.

There will be many activities that families will enjoy. Kids will enjoy activities like a rock wall, mechanical bull, inflatables, pony rides, and more. Organizers are asking for a $15 donation to participate in all the kid's activities. Proceeds of this donation benefit the Kearney Enrichment Council.

Other family activities include a carnival, old-timey photo sessions, artisan vendors, best cowboy and cowgirl contest, The Crooked River Posse, trivia, live music and line dancing.

For more information, schedule of activities and area map visit the Kearney Enrichment Council website .
