Bulldog Sports Recap

Spring sports are winding down for the Bulldogs, but they are finishing solid by breaking records and bringing home trophies in track and field. Here is your KPGZ Sports Recap:

Boys Track and Field

On Saturday, May 14, the Bulldogs hosted the Class 4, District 8 Championships.  Both boys and girls teams kept the District Championship plaques here. The team had 2 school records fall on Saturday. Luke Noland broke the 110m Hurdle record, running a 14.64. Zachary Proctor broke the High Jump record, with a jump of 6'7-1/2". The boys’ team qualified 15 of the 19 events and will travel to Warrensburg on Saturday for sectional competitions.

400m - Logan Arellano with a time of 52.25

800m - Kyler Chappell with a time of 2:02.18

110m Hurdles - Luke Noland (School Record) with a time of 14.64

High Jump - Zachary Proctor (School Record)(District Champion) with a height of 6’7.5" (2.02m)

Long Jump - Luke Noland (District Champion) with a distance of 7.05m

Triple Jump - Chris Fields with a distance of 12.15m

Pole Vault - John Timchak (District Champion) with a height of 4.27m

Discus - KJ Smith (District Champion) with a distance of 50.32m; Zachery Grace with a distance of 46.71m

Javelin - Theo Grace (District Champion) with a distance of 50.75m; Adam Hoffman with a distance of 50.47m

Shot Put - KJ Smith with a distance of 14.44m

 

Girls Track and Field

The girls’ team had an outstanding day as they scored 219 points and won the district championship. The ladies qualified 17 of 19 events to move on to sectional competition this Saturday.

4th Place: Lily McAuliffe 100m (13.00), Elise Arellano Discus (30.3m), Caitlyn Wood 300H (50.25)

3rd Place: Shelby Singleton 100m (12.94), Abby Elam 800m (1:04.25), Gracie Bomar 1600m (5:56.97), Heidi Adams 3200m (12:31.03)

2nd Place: Liela Murphy 400m (1:01.90), Olivia Brock 1600m (5:53.24), Alex Kinstler 3200m (12:13.28), Ryleigh VanEmmerik 100H (17.04),  Anna Williams PV (2.59m),  Alli Poage Discus (33.1m), Kenzi Kutch Javelin (35.31m), 4x100 Relay: Macy Morrow, Elysia Hand, Lily McAuliffe, Shelby Singleton (51.13).
