Kearney Triumphs Over Scoreless Grandview
/The Bulldog Girls Soccer team traveled to Grandview on Tuesday, May 3 where it was Bulldogs vs Bulldogs. The Varsity kept clean sheets and took home the victory winning 8 – 0.
Sophomore Mila Kane kicked things off with the first goal of the game after only 90 seconds into the Varsity game. Three minutes later Sophomore Bri Reynolds scored off a great corner kick.
Midfielder, Senior Mia Adkins put through a great ball to Junior Bella Donze for the game’s third goal. Midway through the half, Junior Madi Stevens sent in a corner kick that was bobbled around the box until Adkins nailed the ball into the net. Shortly thereafter, on a ball that should have been a one-time hit for a goal, Donze added a little flash to the game with a back heal kick for a goal.
Stevens added two more goals to the tally and Freshman Emmy Gates also put her name in the books. The game ended at the half and Kearney won over Grandview, 8 – 0.
The girls finish off the week with two big games at home. Friday the Smithville Warriors come to town, and Saturday the Bulldogs host the Lee Summit West Titans.
