Police Seize Meth During Car Stops

Kearney Police Officers seized over 300 grams of apparent methamphetamine in the overnight hours of Saturday, January 21.

Police officers made two different vehicle stops in the span of about an hour and a half, and with the help of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, seized more than 300 grams of meth.

One 66-year old male from Kansas City, one 36-year old female suspect from Cameron, and one 32-year old male suspect from Osborn were taken into custody as a result of the stops. The three were arrested and for possession of illegal narcotics and drug-related paraphernalia.

Charges against these suspects are being forwarded to the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office.
