Keep the Cheer Here in Kearney

The holiday season is fast approaching, and the Kearney Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its festive and comprehensive holiday campaign, "Keep the Cheer Here!" Running from Friday, November 24 to Sunday, December 24, 2023, this campaign is all about promoting local businesses and encouraging the community to embrace the spirit of shopping local.

"Keep the Cheer Here" is more than just a holiday shopping campaign; it's a community-wide effort to make Kearney the ultimate holiday destination for 2023. The campaign invites local businesses, organizations, clubs, churches, and schools to participate and promote their holiday events, specials, deals, parties, concerts, worship services, Santa visits, and more. Everything related to the holiday season, from the holiday gift guide and shopping tips to event dates and business listings, will be consolidated in one place on the Visit Kearney mobile app and website.

The campaign includes a range of components to make the holiday season special in Kearney:

- Holiday Gift Guide: Featuring shopping tips, promotions, event dates, and business listings.

- KPGZ 102.7FM Jingle: Listen to Christmas music on Kearney’s hometown radio station at 102.7FM and the very special Keep the Cheer Here jingle, created by Kearney High School music students.

- Gift Wrap Stations and Selfie Station: Have your local purchases wrapped at a Saturday Gift Wrap Station and take a selfie with the giant holiday wreath.

- Santa Sightings and Holiday Story Time: Explore Santa sightings, holiday open houses, public holiday celebrations, holiday concerts, and Christmas light displays in the app.

- Tracy Tucker State Farm Scavenger Hunt: Enjoy this fun activity for the whole community. You could win a grand prize of $200 in local gift cards.

Throughout the campaign, you can also look forward to special themed days and events, such as Giving Tuesday, Taste of Kearney, Kearney at Night, and Plaid Friday. The Kearney community will come alive with Santa's Mailbox, Gift Wrapping Stations, Carolers, Holiday Story Time, and Secret Santa Giveaways.

 Mark your calendars for A Magical Night on December 9th, from 6 – 9 pm, when the lighted Christmas parade, Santa's arrival, and a special fireworks display will create unforgettable memories for families in the heart of downtown Kearney.
