Christmas Stories Keep the Cheer Here

As part of Kearney Chamber of Commerce’s Keep the Cheer Here shop local campaign, Christmas stories will be presented around Kearney this season.

On Saturday, December 2, Alderman Gerri Spencer will be reading a classic holiday story from 11 to 11:30 am at the Kearney Historic Museum. Guests are invited to come early and stay late and explore Kearney’s history at the museum. The museum is located at 101 S. Jefferson St. in Kearney.

Mayor Randy Pogue will be sharing a holiday classic at Porter’s Ace Hardware on Saturday, December 9 from 11:30 am to noon. Porter’s Ace is located at 700 E. 92 Hwy. in Kearney. Both events are free to the public.

KC Bookkeeping and Northland Handyman will also present three stories virtually in December: Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and the Polar Express. The stories will be released on December 8, 15 and 22 and can be viewed on the 102.7FM Facebook page and YouTube channel, KMO-TV on 102.7KearneyMO.com, the Chamber of Commerce Facebook page, and the Shop Local Facebook page.

"Keep the Cheer Here" is a collective effort to support local businesses, strengthen the community, and celebrate the holiday season. For more information, visit the campaign on the Visit Kearney app and Visit Kearney MO website.
