Homicide Investigation at Rocky Hollow

The Sheriff’s Office released a photo of a tattoo on the upper left arm of the victim in hopes that someone recognizes it and can identify the body

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office confirmed an investigation of a found body at Rocky Hollow Park on Friday morning will be treated as a homicide investigation. Investigators were called to the park, which is located between Kearney and Excelsior Springs, after a county employee found the body.

According to Sheriff’s Office investigators, a park employee found an unidentified white or Hispanic man at Rocky Hollow Park at about 8:15 am on Friday, December 22. The victim appears to be between 35 and 45 years old, and investigators say the body was placed there recently.
