The Clay County Sheriff's Office announced on Thursday, December 28, that charges have been filed against a woman who is the suspect in the homicide of a man whose body was located at Rocky Hollow Park.

Elena Delcarmen Flores, 48, has been charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and abandonment of a corpse. The incident happened on December 22.

Flores lives in Gardner, KS, but deputies believe she may no longer be in the metro area. Flores is not in custody at this time, and deputies are requesting the public’s help to locate her.

The Sheriff’s Office say she may also use the names Elena Torres, Elena Flores Garcia or Elena Stores. She is 5’5 and approximately 200 pounds.

Investigators have now identified the victim in this case, but they are still trying to locate next-of-kin before they will release his identity.
