Precautionary Boil Order in Effect

On Tuesday, December 5, the City of Kearney advised followers on its Facebook page that a water main break had occurred at State Routes 92 and 33.

“Water service will be impacted for businesses and residents near this area (approximately north and south from 4th Street to 9th Street and east and west from Grove Street to the railroad tracks),” the city stated.

The City turned off water services in the area and completed line locates.

After 9 pm on Tuesday the City issued a precautionary boil order advisory to businesses and residents in the affected area.

City crews are working on the issue and the City will notify customers when the precautionary boil order is lifted.
