Kearney Declares Red Snow Day

The Kearney School District is declaring a “Red Snow Day” with no school on Wednesday, Feb. 15 in order to celebrate the victory of the Kansas City Chiefs over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

This decision to cancel classes will allow employees and families to enjoy the planned Super Bowl championship parade that will be held that day in downtown Kansas City. As always, the School District encourages everyone to celebrate in a safe and responsible manner.

Monday, February 20 will remain a holiday with no school. Monday, April 10 is still being reserved as a possible make-up day. A decision about that day will be shared as soon as possible.
