Body Found in Gladstone Pond
/Gladstone Police announced that a body was recovered in a wooded area near Northwest Englewood and North Broadway in Gladstone on Friday, March 10. The FBI, U.S. Marshals, along with Gladstone Police recovered the body in a pond.
Police officials said they are waiting to announce the victim’s identity until a formal ID can be made, however early in the investigation a relative said that the body matches the description of Jaden Robker who has been missing since February 2. The family has confirmed to several Kansas City news outlets that the body recovered is that of Robker. Investigators have not made that confirmation yet.
Thirteen-year-old Robker was last seen in the area of Northwest Plaza Drive and Northwest Plaza Avenue in Kansas City, about a mile away from where the body was found.
Officials continued to canvas the area to look for evidence after the body was removed from the scene. The cause of death has not yet been released, and the identity of the victim has not been officially confirmed.
