Liberty Hospital TreeHouse 2.0 Is Underway

The TreeHouse at Liberty Hospital is a cornerstone amenity of health care in the Northland Community.  For nearly 20 years, the TreeHouse has been a home away from home for nearly 50,000 patients in the Northland community and surrounding states.  With the launch of Branching Out, a capital campaign, the Liberty Hospital Foundation aims to rally the community together to help support vital updates to the hospitality house.

Equipped with ten sleeping rooms, private baths, open kitchen areas, two outdoor patio spaces, beautiful gardens, a walking trail, and community gathering spaces, the TreeHouse is nearly 10,000 square feet of untapped potential to become a patient resource facility in addition to a hospitality house.

The updates most importantly include updating all living spaces to comply with the American Disability Association (ADA) requirements: new wheelchair entryways, bathrooms, and kitchen access.  The updates continue with updating flooring, appliances, bedroom and main living furniture that are needing repair and are out of date.

To modernize the space further, an online reservation system is being created, a WiFi café space will be added, and multimedia entertainment in each room will be installed to make the space feel more like home. Additionally, the lower level of the TreeHouse will have the most robust updates, including a finished meeting space for community support groups, a test prep kitchen for nutritionists to support patients with dietary restrictions, and a new Patient Resource Room to provide oncology patients with a private, dedicated space to access resources such as wigs, lymphedema garments and prosthetics; these are items that are not widely available to Northland residents.

The Liberty Hospital Foundation calls on the community to join the more than 2,000 donors and community members that have supported the TreeHouse Branching Out Campaign.  With support, the Liberty Hospital Foundation will enhance programming, upgrade the guest experience, increase availability and occupancy, and pioneer Northland resources to cancer patients as a reimagined resource.  Visit LibertyTreeHouse.org to learn more.
