Ultralight Aircraft Crash

Deputies are wrapping up their response to the crash of an ultralight aircraft near a private landing strip at about 6:55 p.m. at 20600 Old 210 Highway in rural Clay County.

The pilot was the only occupant and has been transported to the hospital with serious injuries, although they appear to be non-life-threatening. He was conscious and talking to deputies at the scene.

Deputies have notified the FAA of the incident, which would provide any follow-up investigation.
