Lions Club Presents Kids Fishing Derby

The Kearney Lions Club presents their 2nd Annual Kids Fishing Derby at Jesse James Park Lake.

This event is open to the first 65 registered youth, ages 5 - 14, who live in the Kearney/Holt area (Kearney School District).

Kids from 5 - 9 and 10 - 14 must be accompanied by an adult. There will be three winners in these categories: largest fish, smallest fish and most fish caught.

Kids may bring their own rod, reel, and tackle, but equipment will be available on the day of event for those who need it. Free worms will be supplied, and all fish must be caught on hook and line. No more than one rod per fisherman. No treble hooks allowed.

To participate, kids must pre-register HERE by May 1.
