Journalists Excel at National Conference

Four of sixteen Kearney High School broadcasting team members earned awards during a recent national high school journalism competition in San Francisco. Over 1,000 students competed and less than 500 received awards or recognitions.

Sophomore Dalton McElwee received Honorable Mention in Broadcast Anchor; Sophomore Marin McGuire received Honorable Mention in Graphic Design: Advertising; Junior Taylor James received Honorable Mention in Sports Writing; Senior Nicolas Seuferer received Excellent in Broadcast Feature Story.

Seuferer also returned to Kearney as an Adobe Premiere Certified Professional after scoring 925 points out of 1000 on his certification exam. The 2021-2022 Clipper Yearbook placed seventh in Best of Show as well.
