Bulldogs Dominate District Track and Field

The Kearney School Boys and Girls Track and Field teams were ready to roll during the 2023 District meet on Saturday, May 13 at the North Kansas City Schools District Activity Complex. Both Bulldog teams won championships and are sending a large contingent of athletes to the Sectional meet this Saturday in Warrensburg.

The girls qualified in 17 of 19 events and scored in 18 of the 19, for a total of 196.5 points. Some events qualified two athletes to compete at Sectionals.

“Both teams had a fantastic day,” Girls Head Coach Geoff Hutton said. “They won the district titles in commanding fashion.”

The boys team similarly had athletes qualify for Sectionals in 17 out of 19 events. They scored 196 points for the meet.

“We could not be more proud of our boys and girls for their continued effort!” Boys Head Coach Scott Crall said.
