Enrichment Council Hosts Shop with a Cop Golf Tournament

The 4th annual Shop with a Cop Golf Tournament is happening again this month. All proceeds of this event will go directly back into the community by building a positive relationship with youth and law enforcement over the Christmas holiday season.

The Kearney Enrichment Council is hosting the annual Shop with a Cop Golf Tournament at Merimack Golf Course on June 17 at 9 am. The tournament is a four-man scramble.

Tickets are $250 per team or $70 for individuals. Tickets include play, golf cart, two Mulligans, lunch and a drink tickets.

Shop with a Cop is a program done on a volunteer basis by officers of the Kearney Missouri Police Department and the Kearney Enrichment Council. The organizations collect donations and hosts fundraisers to foster positive relationships between youth in the Kearney School District and Officers of the Kearney Police Department.

Each year, counselors within the school district provide a list of students in the district that are underprivileged or face other difficulties outside of their control. Contact is made with their parents/guardians and the date is coordinated for the selected students and any other children in the home to go shopping with a police officer at Walmart in Liberty.
