Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

The Class of 2023 Kearney High School Hall of Fame inductees have been released.

This year’s inductees include two players, two teams and two coaches. They will be recognized before the Kearney football game on Friday, September 1, and a formal Hall of Fame induction banquet will be held in their honor on Saturday, September 2.

Kearney Athletic Hall of Fame inductees are Ed Hessel from the class of 1972 and Joe Windsor from the class of 2010. The two teams that were instated are the 2009 girls state champion cross country team and the 2009 state champion football team. The two coaches who are inducted into the Hall of Fame are Herb Webster and Jeff Roberts.

The Hall of Fame Golf Tournament will take place Friday, June 23 at MariMack Golf Complex in Kearney. This will be formatted as a Four-Person Scramble and limited to the first 18 teams. The registration deadline is June 16.
