District Offers Opt-In Text Message Service

The Kearney School District has many ways it shares information with parents and guardians. The district will always share important and timely notifications by email, phone and text message first.

In order to receive district text messages, you must opt-in on your phone by texting the word “YES” to 67587.

“Please note that this will only work if the phone number is included in your child’s contact information in PowerSchool,” states a district press release.

Parents and guardians only need to opt in one time and they may opt out in the future if they wish. There is no need to repeat this process if they have already completed it with their current phone. Message and data rates may apply.

As a reminder, the school district says if contact information changes, please make sure that you have informed your school. Parents and guardians can also update your contact preferences in our SchoolMessenger notification system.
