2024 Missouri Minimum Wage Increases

The Missouri Minimum Wage made another increase on January 1st. Missouri voters passed Proposition B in November 2018, which increases the minimum wage from $12.00 to $12.30 per hour in 2024.

When 60% of Missouri voters approved the proposition in 2018, the state’s minimum wage was $7.85 per hour. The measure went into effect in 2019 and increased hourly pay to $8.60 per hour.

In 2022 the minimum wage was $11.15 per hour, and minimum wage earners received an automatic increase to $12.00 per hour in 2023.

The new $12.30 per hour minimum wage increase took effect on January 1, 2024. The law does not apply to public employees. Tipped employees are to earn at least 50% of the minimum wage, $6.15 per hour, plus any amount necessary to bring the wage up to $12.30 per hour.
