MO 92 Culvert Replacement Complete

The Missouri Route 92 culvert replacement project near Kearney and Excelsior Springs is complete and the route is now open, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. Work took place between Woodcliffe Circle and Cordell Road.

“We truly appreciate the public’s patience with the utility delays we faced in this project,” said MoDOT KC Area Engineer Ben McCabe.

The goal of this project was to replace the existing stone arch culvert along Route 92 between Kearney and Excelsior Springs, MO. In addition, crews also worked to repair shoulder failure along this route.

Construction began in October of 2023 and was anticipated to be completed by Spring 2024. Unfortunately, the project encountered delays due to unexpected conflicts with fiber lines once construction started. The utility conflicts were cleared in late January Construction was anticipated to be completed early May.

The cost of this project was estimated at $100,000 to $300,000.
