Missouri Unemployment Rate Continues to Fall

Missouri’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate shows that the economic recovery is pushing full steam ahead. The September jobs report says state’s unemployment rate fell from 7.0% in August to 4.9% last month.

The Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety wants to remind all drivers that a statewide media campaign will be held Oct. 10-18. Speed limit enforcement will run Oct. 16-18. During this time law enforcement will be actively enforcing Missouri’s speed limit laws and reminding drivers of the increased risks associated with higher speeds.

The Missouri NAACP, ACLU and the League of Women Voters, along with three registered voters, took their case to The Missouri Supreme Court on Tuesday, October 6. The Court heard an appeal to remove the notary requirement for mail-in voting in the November General Election. On Friday, October 9, the Court rejected the arguments.
