Bulldog Girls Win Three in a Row

The Bulldog Girls Basketball Team traveled to Platte County for a Highway 92 showdown on Thursday, January 28, and came away with a 35-27 victory.

The Bulldogs held the lead until the 3rd quarter until the Pirates pushed ahead. The Bulldogs stepped up their defense in the 4th quarter to outscore Platte County 12-2.

Kenzi Hoffman scored a game high 10 points. Jadyn Barnes chipped in 9 points while leading the team with four assists and two steals. Braelyn Rivera led in rebounds with nine and had also had two steals.

The win continues the girls three-game winning streak. The varsity team record is now 7-10 and 5-2 in conference play. The Kearney Girls will be playing in the North Kansas City Tournament next week beginning on Tuesday vs Liberty at 5:00.
