Chamber to Host Virtual Non-Profit Showcase

The Kearney Chamber of Commerce is hosting its second annual, virtual Nonprofit Showcase, presented by D'Creamery. The showcase will take place from November 1 through November 30.

This virtual showcase has been designed to feature the extraordinary work of non-profit Chamber members, and to provide an opportunity for all community members to learn more about the needs of these 13 area organizations and to easily connect with them.

Visitors can help give a $500 grant to one local non-profit by simply voting for their favorite charity in the Nonprofit Showcase. People can also invite friends to vote too.

To learn more about supporting Kearney area charities, visit the Nonprofit Showcase at www.kearneychamber.org/non-profit-showcase.

Non-profits to be featured include: Fulfillment House, Inc., Good Samaritan Center of Excelsior Springs, Kearney Community Foundation, Kearney Enrichment Council, Kearney Family Foundation, Kearney Food Pantry, Kearney Historic Museum, Kearney Holt Productions, Kearney Ministerial Alliance, Kearney School District Education Foundation, Kearney-Holt CAN Community Acting Now, Northland Therapeutic Riding Center, and Parkville Women’s Clinic.

To garner community interest, visitors to the showcase will have the opportunity to register to win $100 Chamber Cash (accepted at over 40 local businesses), and will be asked to vote for their favorite participating charity, the winner of which will be awarded a $500 grant.

The event will culminate on November 30, the National Day of Giving, otherwise known as Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. The Kearney Chamber of Commerce is in the relentless pursuit of a vibrant and prosperous business community. We have a vision for all businesses to flourish and become an impactful leader in the community, to be a reliable resource for the people who live, work, and play here, and to be equipped to embrace the future of our community.

The Kearney Chamber is grateful to these corporate sponsors for supporting the participating non-profits and this event: Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative, Tracy Tucker State Farm Insurance, Academy Bank, and Hidden Valley Funeral Homes of Kearney. The event’s Presenting Sponsor is D’Creamery.
