Santa Sightings This Weekend

It’s that time of year when kids and parents are on the lookout for Santa. The jolly old elf was spotted at a few locations in Kearney over the past few weekends. Here’s where you can meet him this Saturday, December 11:

First Missouri Bank Kearney Christmas Open House, 455 Sam Barr Drive, Kearney.

From 10 am – noon: Families can decorate cookies, create Christmas cards, and take pictures with Santa.

Kearney Feed, 300 W. Washington Street, Kearney.

From 9 am – noon: Families will have a chance to meet Santa. Kearney Feed employees will give guests a number, and will call your number when it’s your turn. Kearney Feed is also collecting food items and money for the Kearney Food Pantry.

Kearney’s Magical Night and Lighted Parade, Downtown Kearney.

6 – 7 pm: The Lighted Christmas Parade with floats, cars, and people dressed in their Holiday best.

7 pm: Santa will arrive at City Hall. He will be talking with kids and taking pictures as well.

7 – 9 pm: Kearney's Magical Night will begin. This two-hour window is when local businesses open their doors for parents and children to stop by and do a free family craft or activity together. Each location will offer something unique. Keep your eye on the sky for fireworks during this time.
