The Kearney girls swim team competed in the MSHSAA State Swimming Championships on Saturday and ended the season strong.

Senior Andi Kreiling completed her high school swimming career with a second place finish in the 50 freestyle. She came back from the 50 to crush the last 25 to earn State Champion in the 100 freestyle.

Both of Kreiling’s times in each event surpassed her previous school records.

State swimmers Claire Woehrman, Andi Kreiling, Tori Tarr, and Jillian Bonderer finished 17th in the 200 medley relay with a best time. Tarr had best times in the 100 backstroke and the 100 fly where she finished in 17th and 12th place.
