Since newly elected Commissioners Megan Thompson and Jon Carpenter have been on the job, the commission has been offering day and evening meeting times as well as live streaming meetings online.

“Many citizens have been asking for the county commission to hold evening meetings; that process has begun,” stated Presiding Commissioner Jerry Nolte.

Commission meetings are live streamed through a link at ClayCountyMO.gov.

Links to meeting agendas can also found on the webpage. Citizens can watch a meeting as it is broadcast live, or find a previous meeting video in the archives.

The commission is also opening these meetings to the public with the restrictions related to COVID in effect. Those restrictions can be found on the ClayCountyMO.gov web site. The commission is working on a regular schedule of both daytime and evening meetings to allow the most opportunities for citizens to observe and be involved with county government.
