The Platte County Pirates slipped by the Kearney Bulldogs 57-55 on Friday night in Platte City. It was the third time the 92 Highway rivals have faced each other this year. Platte County has won 2 of those games.

Brennan Watkins scored 31 of the Bulldogs’ 55 points, Tyler Carr had 15, Ashton Holloway 4, Braxton Breedlove 3, and Drew Gentry 1.

The loss moves Kearney to 11-7 overall and 4-4 in conference standings. The Bulldogs prepare for a conference home game with the Grandview Bulldogs this Tuesday, February 9 at the Kearney Field House. Grandview is 3-3 in the conference and 5-10 overall.
