Bulldog Boys Finish Strong at State

On Friday, March 12th, the Kearney Bulldogs boys wrestling team competed in the Class 3 State Championship at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence. Bulldog wrestlers finished 8th place overall in the tournament, and also celebrated three individual state medalists.

Senior Garrett Deason Senior Ben Locke

Junior Eli Ashcroft is now the fourth Bulldog in Kearney Wrestling History to become a three-time State Champion. He finished the tournament as the 132 champion.

Senior Garrett Deason finished in 4th place at 145. He finishes his career as a Bulldog with four state medals. Deason was also selected to represent Team Missouri in the 29th Annual Metro Classic Senior All-Star Dual at Avila University.

Senior Ben Locke finished with a 5th place medal at 152. He finishes his Bulldog wrestling career with two state medals and three trips to the State Championship.
