ZORA Boutique Joins Kearney Business Community
/The third time could be a charm for ZORA Boutique owner Taylor From. After trying two different locations in Liberty, From moved the store to the shopping center at the corner of 92 and 33 Highway, and she’s looking forward to having ZORA in Kearney.
The previous locations of the boutique did not fit her vision or needs. “This [Kearney] has been the biggest success of this store,” said From. “The very first storefront was like an office and upstairs in a weird space. The second location was ground level, but the foot traffic wasn’t the best.”
From needed a space in a great location with good access for vehicles and walk-in traffic. The shopping center fit her needs perfectly. “This space gave me the opportunity to expand, carry the brands I love and love to have in my store, and I can also have my kids in the store.”
From says stocking her store with cute fashionwear is tricky. She knows running a boutique is not all about finding clothes and accessories that she loves. She tries puts herself in her customers’ shoes to figure out what they will want to wear.
“Tie dye is a huge thing right now, but it’s not a huge thing for my customers,” she stated. From regularly reaches out to her customer base for guidance. She loves to get feedback about what prints and colors they want to see in her store. She tries suggested styles from her vendors, but if her customers aren’t interested, she’s asks them directly what they are interested in seeing in the store.
Another way From connects with her customers and receives feedback on clothing and accessories is through her New Arrival videos on Facebook Live. She presents 5 – 15 new items live every Thursday evening and has them ready to purchase Friday morning when she opens the store. Her last video unveiling was very popular with nearly 550 views, 87 comments and several viewers responding with “sold” when they see her model the item.
ZORA Boutique is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm; Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm; and Saturdays 9:00 am – 3:00pm. The address is 100 East 6th Street, Suite 6 in Kearney, and the phone number is (816) 406-0070.
