Get Rid of Old Paint at MARC’s Hazardous Waste Collection Event

If you have hazardous waste products like chemicals, paint and batteries, then the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event is where you need to take those items. The collection event is part of an initiative put on by the Mid-America Regional Council’s Solid Waste Management District and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

Paint and paint-related products, automotive fluids, batteries, lawn and garden chemicals, glues and adhesives, household cleaners, and more can be disposed of at this event until trucks are full. Please do not bring electronics.

This event is free for residents of unincorporated Clay County and other member communities of the Regional HHW Program. No business waste will be accepted; however non-profits, churches, home-based businesses, and rental property owners are welcome.

The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event will occur on Saturday, August 14, from 8 am to noon at Happy Rock Park, 76th Street and N. Antioch in Gladstone. For more information on the Regional HHW Program, call the MARC Solid Waste Management District at 816-701-8226 or visit RecycleSpot.org.
