Give a Little to Get a Lot in Kearney

Starting November 1, the Kearney Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the 2022 NonProfit Showcase and #ShopLocalKearney Holiday Giveaway!

“The year may be starting to wind down, but our holiday celebrations are just getting started,” shared Stacie Bratcher, Kearney Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “We've got a couple of great events lined up for your local giving and shopping needs.”

The Nonprofit Showcase, presented by D'Creamery, will run November 1-29. This virtual event is designed to highlight the extraordinary work of Kearney area not-for-profits and service organizations, providing an opportunity for locals to get involved, donate, and be a part of making the Kearney community stronger.

Visitors to the 2022 Showcase will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite participating organization, giving them the chance receive a $500 grant, and they can register to win $100 in Chamber Cash Gift Certificates redeemable at over 40 Kearney businesses.

The list of nonprofits in Kearney is long, reflecting the community’s strong social conscience and commitment to each other. Nonprofit organizations can only fulfill their missions when dedicated and passionate people give their time and talent to volunteer and serve. Each organization has a plethora of ways for individuals to get involved.

Also starting November 1, Kearney shoppers can begin collecting tickets from participating merchants for the #ShopLocalKearney Holiday Giveaway! The 4th Annual Holiday Giveaway, presented by Bea’s Flower’s and Gifts, is a community wide effort to encourage local shopping for the holidays and to educate customers outside of Kearney on all the great shops, restaurants, and services Kearney has to offer.

The 2022 campaign will give away a total of $3,500 – split into 3 cash prizes of $2,000, $1,000 & $500. The grand prize drawing will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Bea’s Flowers & Gifts located at 100 W Washington Street in Kearney.
