Liberty Hospital Welcomes Neurosurgeon and Nurses

To accommodate the growing need for advanced specialists in the Northland, neurosurgeon Bradley A. Hiser, MD, along with specialty-trained nurse practitioners Misty Floersch, MSN, ACNP-BC, and Alex Ferrell, MSN, APRN, ACNP, recently joined the Advanced Spine and Brain Center at Liberty Hospital.

Together with neurosurgeons Michael Rhee, MD, and Clifford Gall, MD, Dr. Hiser will perform a wide range of minimally invasive spine and cranial surgeries. The precision with which minimally invasive surgeries are performed results in less pain and quicker patient recovery, so there is less need to travel outside the Northland for expert spine and brain care.

“As we welcome Dr. Hiser and two advanced practice providers, we are working to meet the growing need for high-quality, advanced specialty healthcare in the Northland in a personalized, caring environment,” said Raghu Adiga, MD, interim hospital president and CEO.

Prior to joining the Advanced Spine and Brain Center, Dr. Hiser was a neurosurgeon at Northwest Texas Hospital and BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. Dr. Hiser is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and completed his surgical internship and neurosurgical residency at University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics in Columbia, MO. From 2012 to 2017 he worked as a neurosurgeon at Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute in Kansas City.

Advanced practice nurse practitioner Alex Ferrell is a graduate of Walden University in Minneapolis and nurse practitioner Misty Floersch is a graduate of St. Louis University. They join nurse practitioner Tracy Wheeler, who has been with the practice since 2018.
