Tribute Acts Rock the Kearney Amphitheater

The Kearney Amphitheater summer concerts keep rockin’ with Silver Bullet – A Bob Seger Tribute this Saturday night. Opening up for the Bob Seger tribute band is a Kansas City favorite act: The Goddesses of Rock.

Get in your car, turn on the radio, and start flipping the dial. No matter where you are, it won't be long until you run across a song by Bob Seger. From classic rock to adult contemporary and even reaching into country formats, Seger's unmistakable voice has established itself a true American classic and a constant presence on the airwaves.

As a songwriter, his compositions have been covered by artists from Metallica to Garth Brooks to Tina Turner. Meanwhile, Chevrolet's use of the Detroit native's song "Like a Rock" to promote their trucks is now one of the longest-running advertising campaigns in history. With a career spanning almost 40 years and nearing 50 million albums sold, Bob Seger is one of rock & roll's most enduring icons.

The Goddesses of Rock

Imagine attending a concert where the marquee reads:

NOW PLAYING: Joan Jett, Blondie, Adele, Heart, Lady Gaga, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks and many more.

What an event that would be! Three dynamic female vocalists along with one of the premiere bands in the United States form The Goddesses of Rock. Now, you have a chance to see and hear your favorite female rockers of the past 50 years. Watch as each vocalist transforms into one of your favorite female artists and performs their hits that have turned them into true Goddesses of Rock. This is a must see show for everyone from 8 to 80 years old.

Amphitheater gates open at 6 pm on Saturday, August 20, and the show starts at 7 pm. Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $15.00 at the gate. Advanced tickets can be purchased through KearneyAmphitheater.com.
