Three Vehicle Crash Injures Cameron Man

A three-vehicle crash left traffic at a stand-still just north of Kearney on Interstate 35 yesterday. Law enforcement worked the crash for hours as traffic was diverted through Holt.

Traffic was congested on the interstate when all three vehicles were traveling northbound at about 2:44 on Monday afternoon. As vehicles were slowing, a Chevy Tahoe driven by Timothy Sifers, 23, of Cameron struck a trailer towed by Ford F150 driven by 64-year-old Christopher Jensen of Stanberry. After the crash, the trailer overturned and collided with another Ford F150 driven by 34-year-old Austin Hassebrock of Van Meter, Iowa.

Sifers sustained minor injuries due to the crash and was transported by EMS to Liberty Hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Jensen and Hassebrock were not injured. The pickups had minor damage, and Sifers’ Tahoe was totaled.
