Siercks Promoted to MSHP Corporal

Kearney’s own Brian R. Siercks will be promoted to the rank of corporal in the Missouri State Highway Patrol, effective November 1.

Captain Steven V. Wilhoit, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, made the announcement that Siercks will be promoted on Wednesday and designated him the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 4, serving the citizens of Clay County.

Siercks was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on July 1, 2015, as a member of the 101st Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 14, Bates County. On May 1, 2020, Siercks transferred to Zone 3, serving the citizens of Clay County, where he has remained until his promotion.

Siercks was born in Kearney, Missouri. He graduated from Kearney High School, in Kearney, Missouri, in 2011. Before joining the Patrol, he graduated from Park University in Parkville, Missouri, with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, in 2015. Corporal Siercks is currently a member of the Troop A Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT). Corporal Siercks is married to Kaylie (Arthur) Siercks.
