MoDOT has announced more lane closures associated with the construction of a new Interstate interchange in Kearney at 19th Street.

Drivers can expect various lane closures throughout the next several months. This week MoDot says crews will be closing the right hand lane of southbound I-35 at about mile-marker 25 from 6 P.M. Monday to 10 A.M. Tuesday and again from 6 P.M. Tuesday to 10 A.M. Wednesday for pavement removal work.

That work is part of a larger project constructing a new interchange on I-35 at 19th Street about one mile south of Route 92. The new interchange will cross over I-35 and will include ramps to and from the interstate. The improvements will also include bike lanes and accommodate pedestrians with trail and sidewalk.

All work is weather permitting and subject to change.
